Attending Mass in Inclement Weather

(from the Archdiocese of Washington website)

Anytime that we have inclement weather, we wish to remind the faithful that dangerous travel/road conditions are legitimate excuses from fulfilling the Sunday  obligation to attend Mass. Those who cannot safely attend Mass in person are encouraged to watch the Sunday TV Mass, which airs at 10:30 a.m. on CW50.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of St. John the Evangelist Religious Education

is to witness to the children and adults

of our parish community

by sharing with them the message of Jesus

through prayer, instruction, and example.

We are dedicated, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit,

to make each person’s faith become alive and active

so that they may respond to the call,

which is the call of all God’s children,

to share, to witness, and to model the teachings

and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
